Make
your own Maracas!
from: www.elbalero.gob.mx
You need:
Clean and dry soft drink cans.
Acrylic paint and a brush.
Material that makes noise for filling the cans, such as: beans, rice, chickpeas, pebbles,
salt, or other things.
Wide adhesive tape.
1. Paint and decorate the can: you can use circles,
flowers, colored ribbons, or other things.

2. Fill the can with the materials. You will see how
it sounds different with each type of material.

3. Cover the hole in the top of the can with adhesive
tape.

4. Play with your new musical instrument.
