The Merlin, with a hefty 20ply, 10.5mm thick shell struck from a perfect recipe of maple and birch. With its 45 degree super smooth edges and 1.8mm hand cut snare beds, its lustrous silky matt finish makes the Merlin fit perfectly into any musical situation.

The key to the British Drum Company’s signature sound is their Cold-Press Moulding technique used in the manufacture of their drums. As the name suggests, this eliminates the use of heat in the shell building process, maintaining the full sonic potential of the wood which would otherwise be compromised by the addition of heat in the pressing procedure.
