Robert Zildjian formed Sabian in 1981 after a falling out with his brother Armand Zildjian. Using years of experience he had developed from his past career Sabian were always going to go on to become one of the leading cymbal manufacturers in the world. These days they can list a whole host of big name artists who play their cymbals.

Sabian use a wide range of techniques and materials to make their cymbals which means they have a huge range of sounds for drummers at all levels.

AA were Sabian’s first cymbal range and have found their home as a popular cymbal for rock and pop drummers.

AAX use the same automated anvil technique that AA uses but has a closer thinner lathing technique which makes the cymbals great for playing at loud volume.

HH cymbals were Sabian’s first hand hammered offering which brings out more darkness and depth in the cymbal.

HHX cymbals combine the darkness of hand hammered cymbals with the volume and articulation of thinner lathing techniques, creating a hugely versatile cymbal which has found favour in many different genres.

Sabian Omni cymbals were created in partnership with legendary drummer Jojo Mayer and feature a half raw and half polished finish. Includes cymbal designs from both the AAX and HHX ranges.

Sabian Artisan are the most complex cymbals that Sabian have on offer. They are all about rich, traditional dark tones and are a highly sought out range from professional drummers.

XSR  a development from the Xs20 cymbal range. Crafted from pure B20 Bronze using trickle-down technology from award-winning Evolution and X-Plosion cymbals, Sabian XSR delivers unprecedented sound and performance at a price designed to fit your cymbal budget.

B8X cymbals feature the same great engineering you would expect from Sabian but they are made from B8 bronze rather than B20 which keeps the cost down, making them more affordable than other ranges.

SBR is Sabian’s entry range. Made from brass, these cymbals are great to get you playing on a budget, with a cymbal you know won’t break or dent on you.

Other Sabian ranges include Sabian Crescent, FRX, Paragon, Quiet Tone, and
