Evans Genera Dry are very similar heads to the standard Genera range in that they are both a 10-mil single-ply head featuring a built in dampening ring on the underside of the head, a feature which helps to control overtones and reduce sustain. The Genera Dry has additional small air vents punched around the outer ring of the head which further reduces overtones and creates an extremely focused and dry sound.
