Description

Gretsch Full Range 14″ x 5″ Black Nickel Over Steel Snare Drum. The shallow 5-inch shell makes this Black Nickel Over Steel snare fast under the sticks, while a 14-inch head keeps the backbeat full. It can settle into a drier note at low tension or cut sharply when tuned up.

Shell and Sound:

The 1.2mm steel shell has black nickel plating and 45-degree edges. It keeps the metal attack clear across a wide tuning range.

Hardware and Response:

Gretsch uses 2.3mm triple-flanged hoops and 20-strand wires. The open steel rims leave head movement around the crack, and the wires give soft taps definition.
