Description
Gretsch Brooklyn 14″ x 5.5″ Chrome Over Steel Snare Drum. A 14 x 5.5-inch size makes this Brooklyn a versatile main snare: the head carries a full backbeat and the moderate depth lets the bright steel note finish sooner than the deeper model. Soft strokes still have enough wire response to stay present.
Shell and Sound:
Gretsch uses a 2mm chrome-over-steel shell here, producing a firm attack with enough overtone to sound lively at medium tension.
Hardware and Response:
Gretsch 302 steel hoops use a 3mm double-flanged shape, balancing a firm rimshot with natural head movement. Twenty snare strands add a defined buzz.
