Description

Gretsch Catalina Maple 14″ x 5.5″ Snare Drum – Antique Maple. Antique Maple leaves the natural-looking wood aesthetic prominent on this 14 x 5.5-inch snare. The maple note is warm and lively, with a moderate shell depth that works well under varied dynamics.

Shell and Sound:

Seven maple plies give this snare a balanced, musical shell response. Gretsch leaves the interior natural and uses 30-degree edges. The medium shell leaves a controlled resonance.

Hardware and Response:

Rimshots remain defined on the triple-flanged steel hoops, with a little air around the maple note.
