Thin maple/walnut hybrid shells and Mapex SONIClear bearing edges give the Mapex 22″ Saturn Classic Studioease 5-Piece Shell Pack – Aqua Fade a broad, warm fundamental with enough attack to stay defined on stage. The 5.1 mm tom and floor tom shells open up easily at quieter dynamics, while the thicker 7.5 mm bass drum shell keeps the 22″ low end firm. Its two-up, two-down Studioease layout moves smoothly from compact 10″ and 12″ rack toms into 14″ and 16″ floor toms, creating a wide tuning spread without awkward drum depths.
