Description

Ludwig Universal 14″ x 6.5″ Mahogany Snare Drum. The mahogany Universal leans towards a warm, lower-mid shell voice rather than a sharp metallic crack. A 14-inch head keeps the backbeat broad and its 6.5-inch depth gives the note space to resonate behind the stick.

Shell and Sound:

A 7.5mm, six-ply mahogany shell is supported by maple reinforcement rings. They lend focus and stability to the naturally rounded mahogany tone while allowing the shell to speak freely.

Hardware and Response:

Triple-flanged hoops keep rimshots open and leave some air around the note. The 18-strand snare wires give ghost notes a clear edge without dominating the shell sound.

  • 6.5 x14″ 6 ply 7.5 mm Mahogany shell with Maple re-rings
  • Triple flange hoops
  • tube lugs
  • P88i throw-off
  • P35 butt plate
  • 18 strand snare wires

In cases where packaging has been opened we may be unable to offer a refund but in some cases will offer a refund that reflects the reduced resale value of the item.

If your purchase develops a fault within the 2 year warranty period you can return it to us and we will repair or replace it. A fault is defined as a defect that you would not normally expect to occur through normal wear and tear and that has not been caused by improper use.
