The key to the British Drum Company’s signature sound is theirย Cold-Press Mouldingย technique used in the manufacture of their drums. As the name suggests, this eliminates the use of heat in the shell building process, maintaining the full sonic potential of the wood which would otherwise be compromised by the addition of heat in the pressing procedure.
A culmination of tried and tested traditional methods of shell moulding have resulted in a cold pressed birch shell with unique โFinish-Matchingโ reinforcement rings, an attention to detail thatโs become expected of British Drum Co.
