Meinl use 6 different alloys to craft their cymbals which is more than any other cymbal manufacturer is using today. Because of this they are able to offer the widest range of cymbal sound characteristics available.
Meinl Byzance Traditional are the most popular cymbals in the Byzance range, used by many world class drummers including Benny Greb and Matt Halpern. Their hand hammered and lathed surfaces, warm sounds and selection of models may be very traditional, but these cymbals are the ultimate choice when it comes to versatility. Rides with a buttery-soft feel. Crashes that range from dark and shimmering with thin models, to powerful and focused with heavier ones.
