The Vic Firth American Jazz series is crafted for drummers seeking exceptional rebound and nuanced control. Made from select U.S. hickory and featuring a long taper, narrow neck, and small teardrop wood tip, these sticks deliver a fast, articulate feel while promoting a sweet, focused sound on ride cymbals and across the kit.
Available in six models – ranging from the ultra-thin AJ5 to the slightly fuller AJ1 – each offers subtle variations in diameter and taper to suit different playing styles. The AJ5, the skinniest stick in Vic Firth’s catalogue, resembles a 7A in profile, delivering nimble response and lightweight agility ideal for jazz and low-volume performance. The AJ2 and AJ1 provide gradually thicker shafts for those seeking more presence without sacrificing sensitivity.
