Description

The Gretsch 22″ Catalina Maple 5-Piece Shell Pack – Black Stardust is the straight-ahead all-rounder in the Catalina Maple range. A 22″ bass drum, 10″ and 12″ rack toms, 16″ floor tom and matching snare cover the familiar five-piece setup most drummers can sit behind and get on with immediately. The configuration has enough tuning range for detailed parts but remains practical to transport and set up for a gig. The seven-ply Gretsch Formula Maple shells sit on traditional 30-degree bearing edges. In practice, that means a rounded fundamental with enough attack to stay clear in a band, plus a wide, musical tuning range rather than one narrow sweet spot. The 2.3 mm triple-flanged hoops let the heads breathe and make small tuning changes easy to hear.

• Low-profile tom and floor tom leg brackets, telescopic bass drum spurs and rubber-isolated die-cast bass drum claws
• Gretsch T-Wing fittings and chrome shell hardware
