Description
Unlike traditional ply shells, the Gretsch Maple Stave Snare is constructed from solid maple staves joined together to create an exceptionally dense shell with thick reinforcement rings. This construction amplifies the natural tonal qualities of maple, producing warm fundamentals, bright overtones and impressive sustain while adding greater volume, attack and projection. The result is a snare that feels more powerful, more articulate and more robust than a conventional maple ply drum, making it equally suited to subtle studio work and high-energy live performances.
