Description

The Multi-Guiro earns its name. One side has raised grooves like a Cuban-style guiro for more defined strokes; turn it over and the finer texture gives you a rougher, raspier scrape. There is steel shot inside as well, so a shake adds a completely different pulse.

Make the Switch:

Start a verse with a small shaker pattern, then bring in a scraped rhythm for the chorus without reaching for another instrument. The stainless-steel body puts both textures close to hand. It is a more flexible choice than a single-surface guiro when space on the percussion table is tight.
