Description

Ludwig Black Beauty 14″ x 6.5″ Brass Snare Drum. The 14 x 6.5-inch Black Beauty has enough shell depth to let the warm brass note develop behind a firm backbeat. The full-size head keeps the response broad, while the deeper chamber gives the hit more body and resonance than the 5-inch model.

Shell and Sound:

Its seamless 1.2mm brass shell is hydroformed from a single sheet and carries a rounded metallic ring rather than a brittle splash. The smooth shell keeps the traditional Black Beauty voice open and versatile.

Hardware and Response:

The ten Imperial lugs give this model its classic appearance. Triple-flanged steel hoops support head resonance and a lively rimshot, leaving room to tune from a crisp crack to a fuller, lower-tension note.

  • 1.2mm Seamless Brass Shell Black Nickel Plated
  • 2.3mm Steel Triple Flanged Hoops
  • P88AC Throw Off
  • P35P Butt Plate
  • Ludwig Weather Master Medium Coated Head
  • Ludwig Weather Master Clear Snare Side Head
  • 10 Imperial lugs
