Description

Chosen by Animals As Leaders drummer Matt Garstka, this pack gives detailed rhythmic playing several distinct voices. The Equilibrium hi-hats keep stick-tip patterns clear and turn into a slushy bark when opened. The Jazz Extra Thin Crash responds readily to swells, while the Equilibrium China adds a trashy accent with enough articulation to stay useful in busier passages. On the 22″ Equilibrium Ride, the bell, bow and crash response are balanced so you can move between them without one voice overwhelming the others. The result is a set that feels at home with intricate progressive parts but also works for rock, pop and fusion.

Included in This Set:

14″ Byzance Vintage Equilibrium Hi-Hats – pair
18″ Byzance Jazz Extra Thin Crash
20″ Byzance Vintage Equilibrium China
22″ Byzance Vintage Equilibrium Ride

Sound & Feel:

Defined closed hi-hat patterns with a slushy open sound
Easy-opening crash for swells and expressive accents
Trashy China response with useful articulation

Built to Perform:

Hand-hammered B20 bronze construction
Three Matt Garstka signature Equilibrium models
Ride with balanced bell, stick and crash voices

Ideal For:

Progressive playing and intricate cymbal patterns
Rock, pop and fusion
Drummers who want a dedicated China in their main setup
