Description

Matt Halpern’s selection leaves room for the quieter details as well as the heavy accents. The 14″ Medium Hi-Hats give the groove a firm centre, with 18″ and 20″ Extra Thin Hammered crashes that respond without needing every stroke to be a full hit. The Double Down is the key to the set’s flexibility: its unlathed top and lathed underside balance control with sustain, so it can handle ride patterns and crash accents within the same part. The pack suits progressive rock and fusion passages where dynamics change quickly, as well as more straightforward pop and alternative grooves.

Included in This Set:
  • 14″ Byzance Traditional Medium Hi-Hats – pair
  • 18″ Byzance Traditional Extra Thin Hammered Crash
  • 20″ Byzance Traditional Extra Thin Hammered Crash
  • 21″ Byzance Dark Double Down Crash-Ride
Sound & Feel:
  • Warm crash spread with a responsive extra-thin feel
  • Medium hi-hats for a solid rhythmic foundation
  • Double Down combines ride definition with crash response
Built to Perform:
  • Hand-hammered B20 bronze cymbals
  • Different cymbal weights for a broad dynamic range
  • Unlathed ride top and lathed underside for sustain and control
Ideal For:
