Description

Mike Johnston’s Artist’s Choice pack keeps the setup simple while giving you several ways to shape a part. The 15″ Foundry Reserve Hi-Hats provide the foundation, with a 20″ Extra Thin Hammered Crash for flowing accents and changes in dynamics. The Transition Ride is more than a timekeeping cymbal: its clear stick sound remains audible as you move into wider crash strokes, and the bell has enough presence without dominating the groove. These three positions offer warm, responsive sounds for pop, funk, R&B and more intimate acoustic playing. The set suits drummers who like to draw different sounds from a small number of cymbals.

Included in This Set:
  • 15″ Byzance Foundry Reserve Hi-Hats – pair
  • 20″ Byzance Traditional Extra Thin Hammered Crash
  • 21″ Byzance Extra Dry Transition Ride
Sound & Feel:
  • Warm textures with a sensitive dynamic response
  • Extra-thin crash for flowing accents
  • Ride definition that remains clear when the cymbal opens up
Built to Perform:
  • Hand-hammered B20 bronze throughout
  • Three-position layout selected by Mike Johnston
  • Transition Ride with a present, balanced bell
Ideal For:
  • Pop, funk, R&B and songwriter sessions
  • Jazz and acoustic settings
  • Players who prefer a small setup with expressive voices
