Description

Both Polyphonic crashes open with a strong burst, then ease into a quieter wash, so an accent can make its point without staying at full volume underneath the groove. The thin edges encourage that immediate crash response, while the thicker unlathed bells give you a more penetrating sound for separate bell patterns. Having the 18″ and 20″ together gives fills and section changes two sizes to play with, with the same dark character linking them. Each cymbal is hand hammered from B20 bronze, with a Traditional finish across the lathed playing surface and a visibly raw bell.

Included In This Set:

18″ Byzance Traditional Polyphonic Crash Cymbal
20″ Byzance Traditional Polyphonic Crash Cymbal

Sound & Feel:

Dark accents with a quick, explosive opening
Wash that drops back after the initial burst
Penetrating bell attack when played separately
Responsive thin edges

Built to Perform:

Hand-hammered B20 bronze construction
Thicker unlathed bells
Traditional finish on the lathed surface
Matched Polyphonic crash models

Ideal For:

Accents that need impact without a sustained roar
Rock, pop, funk and fusion
Drummers who use both crash edges and bells
