Description

The 18″ and 20″ Extra Thin Hammered crashes share a lightweight build and extensive hammer patterns, which give their accents a broad, textured spread. There is a rougher edge to the tone that adds character without needing a separate effects cymbal. Rather than disappearing straight after the attack, each crash leaves a lingering wash that can carry a transition into the next section. The pair gives an existing setup two sizes of the same voice, making it easy to move between accents while keeping that open, trashy character. Traditional lathing and hand-hammered B20 bronze complete the familiar Byzance construction.

Included In This Set:

18″ Byzance Traditional Extra Thin Hammered Crash Cymbal
20″ Byzance Traditional Extra Thin Hammered Crash Cymbal

Sound & Feel:

Dark crash tone with trashy overtones
Broad, spreading wash after the attack
Lingering sustain for flowing transitions
Extra-thin cymbal weights

Built to Perform:

Traditional finish with narrow-blade lathing
Two crash sizes for an existing setup
