Description

The Meinl HCS Dark 18″ Crash puts more width and weight behind each accent than the 16″ model. The specially treated brass keeps that larger spread in check, so the cymbal fills the room without leaving an over-bright tail across the next bar.

Sound & Feel:

Expect a broad crash note, darker pitch and fuller wash with a controlled decay. It responds well to confident playing and has enough body for chorus accents, heavier grooves and live practice-room volume.

Construction and Finish:

The brass receives a special treatment that damps the response and creates a more focused voice than regular HCS crashes. A black finish gives the cymbal its bold HCS Dark appearance.

Who It Suits:

Ideal for beginners who want a larger main crash, or players pairing it with the 16″ model for two clearly different accent voices.

Why Choose the HCS Dark 18″ Crash?

It brings size and weight to the kit while keeping the wash disciplined enough for clear, punchy grooves.
