Description
At the heart of the Export Series are Pearl’s 6-ply, 7.5mm poplar shells. Manufactured using Pearl’s SST shell-forming process, carefully selected wood plies are bonded using proprietary AcoustiGlue and overlapping scarf joints to create strong, consistent shells with excellent acoustic properties. The resulting sound combines clean tonality and punchy attack with resonant highs, powerful lows and a wide tuning range suitable for a broad variety of musical styles.
Pearl’s traditional 45-degree bearing edges minimise head contact to provide an effective balance of attack, warmth and sustain. The rack toms are fitted with Pearl’s Opti-Loc suspension system, helping the shells resonate freely while maintaining secure positioning. 1.5mm steel triple-flanged hoops provide a responsive playing feel, while Remo UT Clear batter and resonant tom heads and a Remo UT Powerstroke 3 bass drum head complete the setup.
