Tama 22″ Starclassic Performer 4-Piece Shell Pack – Molten Steel Blue Burst is built around 6 mm tom shells with four birch plies and two inner maple plies, paired with a 7 mm bass drum shell using five birch plies and two inner maple plies. Deeper 10″ and 12″ rack toms add body above the 16″ x 14″ floor tom, with the 22″ x 16″ bass drum bringing a firm low-end anchor. Birch keeps fills crisp and separated, while the maple inner plies round out the middle of the note so the kit does not sound clinical.
