Tama 22″ Starclassic Walnut/Birch 5-Piece Shell Pack – Molten Dark Raspberry Fade is built around 6 mm tom shells with four birch plies and two inner American black walnut plies, paired with an 8 mm bass drum shell using five birch plies and two inner walnut plies. Two quick rack toms lead into 14″ and 16″ floor toms, giving the 22″ bass drum configuration a broad five-drum tuning map without oversized depths. Walnut thickens the note through the lows and lower mids, while birch gives every stroke a firm front edge that survives close miking and loud stages.
