Description

Compact Design:

The CH8S uses a shorter boom and pipe than the standard CH8, making it particularly useful when adding cymbals to a compact kit or fitting additional cymbals into an already crowded setup. The reduced dimensions also make the arm easier to position where a full-length boom is unnecessary.

Quick Release Nut:

The QRN8 Quick Release Nut allows the cymbal to be installed and removed quickly without repeatedly threading a conventional wing nut along the cymbal post. This helps reduce setup and pack-down time, particularly for drummers who regularly transport their hardware.

Step Free Tilter:

Yamaha’s Step Free Tilter provides smooth, stepless angle adjustment, allowing the cymbal to be positioned precisely rather than being restricted to predetermined geared positions. The mechanism is also designed for enhanced durability during regular use.

Redesigned Boom Tilter:

The redesigned boom tilter provides increased holding power to keep the cymbal securely positioned during playing. Improved memory accuracy also makes it easier to reproduce a preferred boom position when setting the kit up again.

Refined Hardware Design:
  • Clamp base provides secure holding power without overtightening
  • Short boom provides useful positioning flexibility in confined spaces
  • Shorter pipe reduces the overall footprint of the mounting setup
  • Refined wing nuts provide a comfortable grip for quick adjustment
  • Professional Yamaha construction is suitable for regular studio and live use
CH8S vs CH8:
  • CH8S: Short boom and pipe for a more compact setup
  • CH8: Standard boom and pipe length for greater positioning reach
Ideal For:
  • Compact drum and cymbal setups
  • Adding splash, crash and effects cymbals
  • Crowded multi-cymbal configurations
  • Studio and live performance
  • Players looking to minimise the number of floor stands around their kit
  • Drummers who require precise and repeatable cymbal positioning
