Description
Quick Release Nut:
The QRN8 Quick Release Nut significantly reduces setup and pack-down time. Pinching the movable side section allows the nut to be attached or removed instantly without having to thread it along the cymbal post. Once installed, the nut can be turned to fine-tune the cymbal’s movement and resonance, while an integrated locking mechanism helps keep it securely in position.
Sound Enhanced Cymbal Washer:
Instead of relying solely on a conventional felt washer, the CS8W features Yamaha’s SECW8 Sound Enhanced Cymbal Washer beneath the cymbal. Its hybrid construction combines a soft foam rubber outer section with a firmer silicone rubber core, allowing the cymbal to vibrate more freely for improved resonance and sustain. The outer section can also be removed and the silicone core used on its own for an even more open response and longer sustain.
Precise Cymbal Positioning:
The Step Free Tilter provides smooth, stepless angle adjustment, allowing the cymbal to be positioned exactly where required without the restrictions of a geared tilter. Yamaha’s Hinged Boom Tilter Clamp grips the boom arm securely from three sides, providing strong holding power without excessive tightening. A memory lock helps maintain the chosen position between setups.
Boom or Straight Stand:
The 43cm boom arm can be extended for flexible cymbal positioning or stored inside the upper tube to convert the CS8W into a straight cymbal stand. This also creates a more compact configuration for transport and gives drummers greater flexibility when arranging cymbals around the kit.
