Description
The DTX10K-X uses Yamaha’s Textured Cellular Silicone (TCS) playing surfaces across the snare and tom pads. Designed to provide a natural rebound with excellent dynamic response, TCS offers a consistent playing surface that does not require tension adjustment. The pads use real wooden shells manufactured and finished using techniques developed through Yamaha’s acoustic drum production, giving the DTX10K-X the appearance and positioning of a premium acoustic kit.
The 12″ XP125SD-X snare provides a generous playing area and incorporates positional sensing for additional expression. Two 10″ rack toms and a 12″ floor tom create a familiar acoustic-style configuration, while the KP128 features a 12″ mesh head and multi-layer cushion to deliver a solid and responsive bass drum feel.
