Yamaha DTX8K-M Electronic Drum Kit – Black Forest

Description

The DTX8K-M uses genuine wooden shells with two-ply Remo mesh heads across the snare and tom pads, giving the kit the appearance and response of an acoustic setup while keeping playing volume considerably lower. Mesh head tension can be adjusted to suit individual playing preferences, allowing drummers to tailor the rebound and response of each pad. The Black Forest finish gives the shells a distinctive contemporary appearance while retaining the visual presence of a conventional drum kit.

The 12″ XP125SD-M snare uses multiple sensors to accurately capture detailed stick work, while three 10″ XP105T-M tom pads create a comfortable and familiar configuration. A KP90 kick pad uses a multi-layer cushion to provide a solid bass drum response and is suitable for use with both single and double bass drum pedals.

The cymbal setup consists of two 13″ crash pads and a larger 15″ ride, providing separate bow, edge and cup zones for expressive cymbal playing. The ride also features positional sensing, allowing its tonal response to change depending on where the playing surface is struck. The 13″ RHH135 hi-hat mounts onto a conventional Yamaha hi-hat stand, providing familiar pedal movement and positioning for acoustic drummers.

Custom WAV samples can also be imported, giving players extensive scope to create personalised acoustic, electronic and hybrid kits.
