Yamaha DTX8K-M Electronic Drum Kit – Real Wood

Description

The DTX8K-M uses wooden birch shells built and painted in Yamaha’s acoustic drum factories, complete with acoustic-style badges, lugs and hoops. This gives the kit the appearance and familiar positioning of a conventional drum set while retaining all the advantages of electronic drums. The natural Real Wood finish showcases the shells and gives the kit a clean, traditional appearance.

Two-ply Remo mesh heads are fitted to the snare and tom pads, providing a comfortable rebound with excellent durability and acoustic noise reduction. Head tension can be adjusted to suit individual playing preferences, allowing the response of each drum to be tailored to the player. The 12″ snare uses three sensors to accurately capture detailed stick work, while three 10″ tom pads provide a comfortable and familiar playing configuration.

Pad Configuration:

• XP125SD-M 12″ Mesh Snare Pad – 2-zone
• 2 x XP105T-M 10″ Mesh Rack Tom Pads – 2-zone
• XP105T-M 10″ Mesh Floor Tom Pad – 2-zone
• KP90 7.5″ Kick Pad with multi-layer cushion
• RHH135 13″ Hi-Hat Pad – 2-zone
• 2 x PCY135 13″ Crash Cymbal Pads – 3-zone
• PCY155 15″ Ride Cymbal Pad – 3-zone with hit-point detection

The cymbal configuration includes two 13″ crashes and a larger 15″ ride, with separate edge, bow and cup zones allowing detailed articulation across the playing surfaces. Choke and mute functionality provide additional control, while hit-point detection on the ride allows its tonal response to change depending on where the cymbal is struck. The 13″ RHH135 hi-hat mounts on a conventional Yamaha hi-hat stand for familiar positioning and pedal operation.
