Description
Designed for Smaller Drums:
The SS62 features a compact basket optimised for drums measuring 12″ or smaller. This makes it an excellent choice for 10″ and 12″ snare drums, auxiliary snares and toms that may not sit securely in a conventional full-size snare stand.
Step Free Tilter:
Yamaha’s Step Free Tilter provides smooth, stepless basket adjustment, allowing the drum to be positioned at precisely the required angle. This makes it easy to achieve a comfortable playing position whether the SS62 is being used for a main snare, auxiliary snare or tom.
Tone-Enhancing Basket Rubber:
The specially developed basket rubber incorporates an air pocket between the rubber and supporting arm. The rubber can flex dynamically as the drum is played, reducing unwanted vibration transfer between the drum and stand. This allows the shell to resonate more freely and helps increase sustain in the lower frequencies.
Snare Basket Adjustment Knob:
The ergonomic basket adjustment knob is shaped for a comfortable grip and incorporates a metal washer to provide smooth tightening with minimal effort. This allows the basket to be securely locked around the drum without making adjustment unnecessarily difficult.
Lightweight and Portable:
A single-braced tripod keeps the SS62 lightweight while providing reliable support during playing. Its compact dimensions make it particularly convenient for smaller drum setups, teaching environments and gigging drummers looking to reduce the size and weight of their hardware setup.
