Description

The Remo Emperor SMT Coated Bass Drum Head combines the bold, full-bodied sound of the classic Emperor series with modern SMT muffling technology to deliver a warm, punchy, and focused bass drum tone. Built with two plies of 7mil coated film, it offers increased durability and deeper tonal response compared to single-ply heads, making it an excellent choice for louder genres and heavy hitters.

The integrated Sound Maximizing Technology (SMT) muffling ring helps reduce unwanted overtones and ring, giving you a cleaner, tighter sound without relying on pillows, gels, or external dampening rings. The result is a bass drum head that sounds studio-ready right out of the box, with just the right blend of attack, low-end, and sustain.

Whether you’re performing live or recording in the studio, the Emperor SMT Coated provides the clarity and punch needed to cut through the mix—while maintaining a warm, classic tone.

Why Choose the Remo Emperor SMT Coated Bass Drum Head:
  • Dual-ply coated construction for a powerful, focused tone

  • SMT muffling provides balanced dampening without extra gear

  • Perfect for drummers who need projection and control

  • Great for live gigs, recording sessions, and everyday play

  • Delivers modern performance with a traditional feel
