Meinl use 6 different alloys to craft their cymbals which is more than any other cymbal manufacturer is using today. Because of this they are able to offer the widest range of cymbal sound characteristics available.
Meinl Pure Alloy cymbals are crafted from pure alloy bronze and sonically sit in the gap between the darker Byzance cymbals and the brighter Classics Custom ranges making them a very versatile range.
Meinl Pure Alloy Custom cymbals are made from the same recipe but with medium to thin weights that produce a slightly softer attack with a warmer body and faster decay, without losing the bright shimmer and sustain that Pure Alloy is known for. A new ‘smoked bronze’ finish makes these cymbals stand out from the crowd.
