Description

The Gretsch 22″ Catalina Club 4-Piece Shell Pack – Piano Black pairs the wide 12″/16″ tom spread and shallow 22″ kick with a deeper matching snare. It is a four-drum layout with the footprint and simplicity of a classic setup, but enough weight and projection for a loud band. Seven-ply Gretsch Formula Mahogany shells and 30-degree bearing edges supply the dark warmth, rounded decay and easy response that make Catalina Club such a useful working kit.

Shell Pack Configuration:

12″ x 8″ rack tom
16″ x 16″ floor tom
22″ x 14″ bass drum
14″ x 6.5″ snare drum

Shell Construction and Bearing Edges:

Seven-ply Gretsch Formula Mahogany shells with natural interiors
Traditional 30-degree bearing edges for a warm fundamental, rounded sustain and broad tuning range
Shallow 14″-deep bass drum design combines vintage-style punch with a fast pedal response

Hoops, Mounting and Drumheads:

1.6 mm triple-flanged steel hoops on toms and snare drum
Matching wood bass drum hoops finished in Piano Black
Bass-drum-mounted single tom holder with 12.7 mm L-arm and Mini GTS suspension
Round gas-cap bass drum mount plate
Low-mass tom and floor tom leg brackets, telescopic bass drum spurs and Gretsch T-Wing fittings
Remo coated Ambassador-style tom batter heads with clear resonant heads
Clear Remo bass drum batter with muffle ring and coated white Gretsch resonant head with muffle ring
Remo coated Ambassador-style snare batter with clear resonant head
Chrome shell hardware

Sound and Playing Style:

The 22″ x 14″ bass drum combines a broad low note with a fast, punchy response
The 12″ rack tom and 16″ floor tom give fills a dramatic step from cut to low-end weight
The included 14″ x 6.5″ snare has more body and headroom than the compact Club snares
A strong fit for rock, indie, blues, roots, pop and gigging drummers who want vintage-style dimensions with modern reliability

Finish:

deep Piano Black high-gloss lacquer, paired with chrome hardware

Please Note:

4-piece shell pack including the matching snare drum
Cymbals, cymbal stands, hi-hat stand, bass drum pedal and throne are not included
