Probably the drum that Ludwig has built their laudable reputation upon. Often imitated but never replicated the Black Beauty is what many other snares strive to be. Black Beauty snare drums provide a warm metallic tone that provides the back beat for many of the worlds top professionals.

Produced from one sheet of brass that is machine drawn to create a 1.2mm seamless shell, the process is so unique and difficult that only a very limited number of black beauty snares are made each year.

This Black Beauty is appointed with brass hardware and tube style lugs which gives it a unique look and tweaks that classic Black Beauty sound just a little. This drum is also available with a 6.5″ depth.
