Code Drumheads

Based in the UK, Code produce drumheads and drumming accessories that are developed and tested by drummers, for drummers. Their ethos is “to provide solid, high quality products at a fraction of the cost of the big established brands.”

All Code drumheads are constructed around a high quality aluminium rim with a steel core; a standout feature of their products is their Grip-Tight rim technology – this rock-solid design locks the head in place, ensuring it stays put while being played.

DNA

Code DNA drumheads are a single-ply, 10-mil head providing a bright, open resonance with a perfect balance of attack and sustain. Similar in design to the Remo Ambassador, they are known for their ‘old school,’ warm sound.

Generator

The Code Generator range are double-ply, clear or coated drumheads known for their focused sound, fast attack and decay, and minimal sustain. Constructed with 2 plies of 7.5-mil clear or coated PET and a bonded outer ring for a more controlled sound, the Code Generator series are comparable in design to Remo Emperor or Evans G2 drum heads.

Blast

Code Blast kick drumheads are made with a single ply of tough 10-mil PET head and feature an extra-wide dampening ring to combat unwanted overtones. Constructed around a high quality aluminium rim with steel core, these kick drumheads will hold their own against competitor brands such as Remo and Evans with a resonant single-ply design that creates a bright and open sound.

Enigma

Code’s Enigma resonant bass drumheads are made using a 7.5-mil PET film and utilise an internal dampening ring to combat overtones and create a focused sound.

Law

Code Law drumheads are composed of a tough, single-ply, 10-mil clear head with a surface black ‘donut’ dot. Not only does the 5-mil dot give the drumhead a striking design, it brings out more of the desirable mid-range response of toms while reducing undesirable overtones. These heads are perfect for drummers looking for that classic, retro sound.

Reso Ring

Code Reso Ring drumheads feature a clear dampening ring to reduce overtones and shorten the decay of the drum. Providing a fatter, punchier sound for toms without having to tape up the resonant heads, Code Reso Rings create a tighter sound when a kit is miked up, both live and in the studio.

Zero

The reinforced reverse centre dot of Code’s Zero drumheads is designed to combat unwanted overtones and make for a tough and long-lasting snare head. Constructed of a 10-mil coated white PET head with a 5-mil black reverse ‘donut’ dot, these heads are comparable in design to Remo’s Controlled Sound or an Evans Power Centre Reversed Dot.

TRS

Code’s TRS drumheads are a twin-ply snare head with a reinforced surface centre dot. These are heavy duty snare batter heads with three plies in the main playing area, creating a bright attack and impressive projection to cut through any live or studio mix.  Comparable with Remo’s Emperor X, the TRS’ two plies of tough 7.5 mil translucent white PET and additional solid white surface ‘donut’ dot make for an impressively robust and hard-wearing snare head.

Genetic

Code Genetic drumheads are all-purpose snare side heads constructed of a 3-mil (traditional) or 5-mil (dark) single-ply skin. Designed to produce a bold “crack” with real projection and depth, these heads provide a highly responsive feel and create a clear sound with pronounced top-end.

Mach 10

Designed by Code for marching snare drums, the Mach 10 is constructed of 10-mil single-ply Mylar film which creates a bright and open tone. It utilises Code’s Grip-Tight Rim technology, providing enhanced tuning stability, making Mach 10 a reliable choice for both indoor and outdoor performance.
