The Istanbul Agop Mantra Signature Series, designed in collaboration with acclaimed American jazz and rock drummer Cindy Blackman, delivers a bright, versatile voice with the dark, crisp edge that defines her playing. Known for her work with Santana, Lenny Kravitz and her own jazz projects, Cindy required cymbals that could bridge her wide musical world. While her original Om series captures the warm, vibey character of classic jazz cymbals, the Mantra range was created specifically for her return to rock and funk with Kravitz, offering greater projection and power while maintaining a distinctly musical, jazz-infused personality. More open and adaptable than the Om series, yet still unmistakably shaped by Cindy’s signature sound, the Mantra line combines clarity, complexity and dynamic responsiveness. The range is intentionally focused, consisting of just three models – 15″ Hi Hats, a 20″ Crash and a 22″ Ride – each designed to deliver the expressive versatility required for modern, genre-spanning performance.
