The Shells

Decade’s 6-ply/5.4mm all Maple drum shell is what sets it apart from the other players in the field. The final product of ten years of process and material refinement, each cross-laminated ply incorporates Pearl’s proprietary Superior Shell Technology. The resulting thin (but powerfully strong) shell reacts quickly to the stroke, producing beautifully resonant highs and thundering lows.

The Cymbals

Sabian introduced the XSR range in 2016, a development from the Xs20 cymbal range. Crafted from pure B20 Bronze using trickle-down technology from award-winning Evolution and X-Plosion cymbals, Sabian XSR delivers unprecedented sound and performance at a price designed to fit your cymbal budget.

XSR cymbals are hand guided machine-hammered, hand lathed, and feature enhanced profiles. The bell of the cymbals have been reshaped and redesigned to accelerate the overall sound of the cymbal, giving this range a professional and traditional sound well beyond what you would expect from a budget cymbal.

The Bearing Edge

Decade Maple kits feature Pearl’s 45 degree bearing edge which produces minimal contact between the shell and head improving the warmth and sustain of the drum.

The Finish

The finish of Decade Maple drum kits is one of the real stand out features of this range. A multi phase, UV Cured, lacquer finish enhances rather than covers the natural look of the outer maple ply allowing the wood grain to be visible.

Shell Hardware and Fittings

Uni-Lock tom arms, Die-Cast claws, and R40 Floor Tom feet provide stability and assurance that these drums aren’t going anywhere when you are on stage. NDL Mini Lugs provide small, efficient, and reliable tuning for drums of all sizes.

The Mounting System

Pearl Opti-Loc tom mounts provide a flexible yet solid three point mounting system for enhanced shell resonance.
