Description

The Gretsch 24″ Catalina Club 3-Piece Shell Pack – Piano Black is the big-drum Catalina Club: a shallow 24″ kick, 13″ rack tom and 16″ floor tom with no snare included. The virgin bass drum keeps the shell clean and resonant, while the 14″ depth stops the kick from feeling slow under the foot. Seven-ply Gretsch Formula Mahogany shells and 30-degree bearing edges supply the dark warmth, rounded decay and easy response that make Catalina Club such a useful working kit.

Shell Pack Configuration:

13″ x 9″ rack tom
16″ x 16″ floor tom
24″ x 14″ bass drum

Shell Construction and Bearing Edges:

Seven-ply Gretsch Formula Mahogany shells with natural interiors
Traditional 30-degree bearing edges for a warm fundamental, rounded sustain and broad tuning range
Shallow 14″-deep bass drum design combines vintage-style punch with a fast pedal response

Hoops, Mounting and Drumheads:

1.6 mm triple-flanged steel hoops on toms
Matching wood bass drum hoops finished in Piano Black
Virgin bass drum; separate single tom holder with 12.7 mm L-arm and Mini GTS suspension is included for stand mounting
No tom-mounting plate is drilled into the bass drum shell
Low-mass tom and floor tom leg brackets, telescopic bass drum spurs and Gretsch T-Wing fittings
Remo coated Ambassador-style tom batter heads with clear resonant heads
Clear Remo bass drum batter with muffle ring and coated white Gretsch resonant head with muffle ring
Chrome shell hardware

Sound and Playing Style:

The 24″ x 14″ bass drum delivers a broad low note and strong acoustic projection without the lag of an extra-deep shell
The 13″ and 16″ toms are broad, throaty voices that suit lower tunings and heavy backbeats
For rock, blues, country, roots and confident advancing or working drummers who want classic big-kit energy from a focused three-piece pack

Finish:

deep Piano Black high-gloss lacquer, paired with chrome hardware

Please Note:

3-piece shell pack; snare drum is not included
Cymbals, stands, bass drum pedal and throne are not included
