The Ludwig 24″ Classic Maple Pro Beat 3-Piece Shell Pack – Green Sparkle is built around 7-ply, 6 mm North American maple shells, paired with 45-degree bearing edges cut close to the outside of the shell. The 7-ply, 6 mm maple shells are formed with Ludwig RFST moulding for an even, stable shell. Their 45-degree edges sit close to the outside of the shell, which frees the head to sustain and makes the drums responsive across a broad tuning range. A 24″ x 14″ bass drum brings the scale and air movement of a big kick without the slower feel of an extra-deep shell. The 13″ and 16″ toms sit naturally in lower tunings and leave plenty of room above the bass drum for comfortable placement.

The Shells
Ludwig’s Classic Maple shell is built from a standard 7-ply, 6mm shell which is formulated for optimum resonance and tonality. Its cross laminated, 2.4mm centre three-ply core panel is inserted between inner and outer two-ply panels using Ludwig’s own Radio Frequency Shell Technology moulding process.
The Bearing Edge
A modern 45 degree bearing edge offers wide tuning and huge sustain on these drums. Each bearing edge is hand sanded to ensure the highest quality of finish and easy drum head fitting and tuning.
