The inclusion of the Mapex 400 Series hardware pack, a matching snare drum, and a full set of hammered brass cymbals makes Venus stand out against other entry-level kits.

Warm Poplar Shells with SONIClear Edges

The drums are built from 100% poplar shells, using 9 plies of 7.2mm for a warm, balanced tone that works across styles. Poplar is known for its smooth, versatile sound, and Venus delivers exactly that.

Each drum is fitted with Mapex SONIClear bearing edges, the same technology used on Mapex’s higher-end kits. These edges help drumheads sit flush to the shell, producing cleaner tones, longer sustain, and easier tuning. For new drummers, this means less frustration and more time playing.

Configurations to Suit Your Playing

The Venus range is available in two main configurations, designed to cover the most popular playing styles:

• 20″ Fusion – compact and versatile, featuring a 20″ bass drum with a 2 up, 1 down tom layout. Perfect for younger players, smaller spaces, or drummers who want a punchy, focused tone.

• 22″ Rock – a full-sized setup with a 22″ bass drum and 2 up, 1 down toms. Designed for louder styles, this configuration offers big projection and plenty of low-end punch.

Every Venus kit also includes a 14″ matching snare drum, giving a cohesive look and sound across the set.

Hardware and Cymbals Included

Venus kits come with a full Mapex 400 Series hardware pack: P410 Single Bass Drum Pedal, H410 Hi-Hat Stand, S400 Snare Stand, B400 Boom Stands x2 and Matching throne.

This lightweight but sturdy hardware provides stability and adjustability, making it ideal for both home practice and first gigs.

The included hammered brass cymbal set completes the package with 14″ hi-hats, 16″ crash and 20″ ride. These cymbals provide bright, clear tones with plenty of projection – perfectly matched to the Venus shells for an all-in-one starter setup.
