Description

The Evans Hydraulic Red Tom Head combines retro-inspired tone with modern reliability and an unmistakable visual flair. Constructed from two plies of 7mil film with a thin layer of oil between them, this head offers built-in damping that naturally reduces overtones and sustain—creating a tight, warm, and punchy tom sound that’s ideal for studio and live use.

The vibrant red translucent finish adds bold style to any kit while contributing a slightly softer attack than its clear counterpart, making it an excellent choice for funk, rock, metal, and R&B. This head provides instant tone control without gels, rings, or extra dampening tools.

The Hydraulic Red is a top pick for drummers wanting that iconic 1970s-style thud with modern build quality and visual impact.

Why Choose the Evans Hydraulic Red Tom Head:
  • Classic 70s tone with enhanced visual appeal

  • Easy to control—no need for external muffling

  • Striking look to complement bold kit aesthetics

  • Consistent tone and tuning across various setups

  • Trusted Evans quality for gigging and recording drummers
