Chalklin MS21, MS22, MS23, MS24 and MS25 despite being designed for timpani players are popular with drum kit players for using on cymbals for atmospheric rolls and washy crashes. When played on the snare and toms they give off a dull muted sound which can be great for more subtle playing at low volumes.
