The Armory range from American drum makers Mapex is an exciting range of drum kits, snare drums and hardware. Aimed at the semi pro player, Armory offer a lot of professional features at a competitive price point. Making use of a hybrid shell of maple and birch, Armory drum kits produce a satisfying blend of warmth and attack which make them hugely versatile for gigging drummers of any style. All Mapex Armory drum kits are completed with stunning transparent lacquered finishes with a visible olive wood grain and are available in 5 or 6 piece shell packs including a Mapex Armory, Tomahawk snare drum.

This shell pack features a 20″ bass drum and fusion sizes for the toms meaning the overall sound will be higher pitched and punchier. Ideal for pop, funk and jazz players. It is finished in Redwood Burst.

The Shells

Mapex have built their reputation on their exquisite hybrid shell technology and these drums are no different.  Each shell is crafted with 6 plys of Birch/Maple/Birch creating a unique blend which gives these simultaneously the attack of birch and the warmth of maple drums.

The Bearing Edge

Armory drum kits feature Mapex’s unique SONIClear bearing edge technology and SONIClear suspension tom mounts. SONIClear bearing edges allow the drum head to sit flat against the shell and ensures maximum connection between shell and head.

The Mounts

SONIClear suspension tom mounts ensure the full resonance of the tom is maintained by allowing it to sit free of any resistance from it’s mounts letting the drum perform at it’s maximum potential.

The Snare Drum

The snare drum is the voice of any kit so it’s important your snare drum lives up to task and the tomahawk doesn’t let anyone down. A 14″x5″ steel snare with plenty of bite! The included snare drum makes the Armory range seriously good value.
