The Avedis Zildjian Company, more commonly known as Zildjian, is an Armenian-American musical instrument manufacturer and the largest cymbal making company in the world. Founded in 1623 by Avedis Zildjian in Constantinople, Zildjian have been setting the world standard of cymbals for centuries.

Avedis stumbled across the Zildjian alloy in 1618 while working on a formula for the creation of gold. This secret alloy has been at the core of their world class cymbal making ever since. 15 people work together to make every single Zildjian alloy cymbal, while specific ranges are pored over and handcrafted using an intense 14-step process. Each cymbal is then sonically tested by a team of experts (with a combined experience of nearly 100 years) to ensure that they meet the high standards you’ve now come to expect from Zildjian products.

Zildjian L80 Low Volume cymbals are up to 80% quieter than traditional cymbals and are the perfect solution for practice spaces, small drum lesson rooms, low volume gigs or anywhere you want to play and not be loud. The lower volume is achieved due to the 1000’s of holes found on the cymbals surface. These let air flow through its body while you play, instead of driving the sound away from where you’re sat.
